She brings a bowl of water and places it under the tree. The birds see the bowl of water and come down and refresh themselves with that water. They are very happy and fresh now. They thank the little girl for her kindness. She goes back happily and tells her mother about the incident. Mother is very happy to hear that and appreciates her for her good deed. She tells her that people should always help others in need.

21. Let’s talk. Discuss in pairs the differences between the pictures and make a list of the differences:

(3) In the 1st picture a rainbow is seen on the upper portion/sky which is not found in the 2nd picture.
(4) In the 1st picture a bunch of flowers is seen at the bottom of the picture. But in the 2nd picture there is no such thing.

One day my friends bought a sapling. Then they were digging a hole and were planting that sapling into the hole. They were watering the plant/sapling regularly, very soon flowers came up. Then the goats came into that ground. They were eating the green leaves of the plant. The beauti- ful rainbow was seen on the sky. There were tall trees there. The boys and girls were cleaning the ground but the goats were eating the leaves of the trees.
