Objectives of the Jibon Prerana Scheme

The scheme has been designed to:

  • Support fresh graduates financially during their job search phase.
  • Encourage preparation for competitive examinations.

During the scheme launch, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma emphasized that the government aims to ensure that financial challenges do not stop the youth from pursuing their goals.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the CM’s Jibon Prerana Scheme, applicants must fulfill the following conditions:

  1. Permanent Resident: The applicant must be a resident of Assam.
  2. Educational Qualification:
    • Must be a fresh graduate of 2025 batch.
    • Must have studied in Government or Public Institutions in Assam.
    • Graduates from open universities and private institutions are not eligible.
  3. Employment Status: The applicant must be currently unemployed.

Not Eligible (Exclusion Categories)

  • Children of government employees (except Class IV employees).
  • Children of Ministers and MLAs.
  • Children of registered government contractors.
  • Applicants whose parents’ annual income exceeds ₹10 lakh.

How to Apply Online for CM’s Jibon Prerana Scheme

Applicants can submit their application through the Digital Infrastructure for DBT Scheme (DIDS) Portal. Follow the steps below:

  1. Visit the Important Web Links section (official portal).
  2. Click on One-Time Registration.
  3. Fill in all necessary personal and educational details.
  4. Complete registration and log in.
  5. Open the Online Application Form.
  6. Upload required documents and review the information.
  7. Click on Submit and download/print the application for reference.
