2. How are time zones calculated?

Ans: The calculation of time zones is closely related to the Earth’s rotation. The Earth completes one rotation on its axis in 24 hours, covering 360°. Therefore, in one hour, the Earth rotates 15°. On this basis, the Earth is divided into time zones, each covering 15° of longitude. Thus, every 15° of longitude forms one time zone.
